Joseph G. Trevor diary, 1862.

The diary (May-December) records the movements of Company E, 1st Regiment of Minnesota Volunteers, during the period the regiment was involved in the Peninsular (Virginia) and Maryland campaigns of the Civil War. There are descriptions of battles and battlefield conditions, the effects of the weather, and the difficulties of moving the regiment.
